Unfortunately, existing distribution networks don’t provide access to rural or semi urban markets and in most times lack customer service programs or product warranty policies. OneLamp is manufacturer neutral and we partner with global suppliers that meet Lighting Africa minimum quality standards & recommended performance targets. We have built a huge experience with lastmile distribution at the bottom of pyramid markets across East Africa. OneLamp leverages an existing transport network combined with a direct sales network of local enterprises and wide spread mobile connectivity to create an on demand service for clean energy solutions that change lives every day. Our business model addresses the inventory cost and transportation infrastructure issues that are associated with distributing solar products in African emerging markets while also providing good product availability at the small-village level. In addition to meeting the consumers need for after sales services, our agent network of local enterprises are strategically located in order to meet the customer‘s expectation of being able to see and feel the product, facilitate quick delivery times that customers expect when they buy the product and to keep costs low in order to facilitate the low prices that rural customers need.
